Associate Field Construction Technician

This position is responsible for assisting members of the Field Construction department in the Installation, repair, and maintenance of underground fiber and copper telecommunications facilities to support residential and business telephone, high-speed internet, and Digital TV customers, while providing a superior level of customer service and commitment to safety. This position requires daily use of manual and mechanized equipment to bury and repair cable and conduit. This position must take and follow instruction well, be willing to work long hours to meet and exceed customer’s expectations, follow all safety requirements, and have the ability and willingness to learn and work in a team environment. This position may also be assigned duties in other departments as part of an overall rotation to provide exposure to other aspects of the communications business.

Fiber Splicing Technician

The Fiber Splicing Technician is a position working in United’s Construction and Engineering department, with responsibilities to support all splicing requirements from trunk to distributions fibers to support FTTH. The fiber splicer must have the ability to perform fiber optic splicing as well as understand engineering and splicing drawings. This person must possess strong project management skills and knowledge of construction practices. This person must have telecommunications experience.

Installation & Repair Technician

This position is responsible for the installation and repair of communications lines and services for residential and business telephone, high-speed internet, and Digital TV customers while providing a superior level of customer service and commitment to safety. Other duties include troubleshooting service lines and wireless CPE, responding to customer complaints and requests, and operating company equipment.
