United Awarded $53.4 million in TN ECD Grants for Mid-TN united.net

United Awarded State Broadband Grants

United is excited to announce the next Project UNITE milestone to bring fiber internet to areas that lack high-speed broadband. United will invest over $14 million of our own funding in addition to $53.4 million in grant funding from the Tennessee Emergency Broadband Fund plus supplemental funding from local governments. The build-out for upgraded fiber internet will include unserved areas in Bedford, Franklin, Giles, Lincoln, Marshall, Maury, Moore and Williamson Counties. Approximately 14,000 locations will be served high-speed internet throughout the grant areas.

We thank our partners Middle Tennessee Electric and Duck River Electric for helping achieve this milestone award, and the Tennessee Dept. of Economic and Community Development for entrusting us with this critical mission.
