United Telephone Company (dba United Communications) and UTC Long Distance, LLC, take seriously our responsibility to protect the privacy of your Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI). CPNI includes the types of telecommunications services you currently purchase, how you use them, and the related billing for those services. CPNI does not include your telephone number, name, or address.
United Communications will authenticate the identity of a customer based on a customer-initiated telephone contact, online account access, or office visit. CPNI passwords are established with all customers in order to authenticate identity. Passwords and the backup method for authentication do not rely on customers’ readily available biographical information. Our company notifies a customer of any changes to a customer password, a customer response to back-up means of authentication, online account, or address of record.
United Communications does not permit any third parties (non-affiliate) to access or use our customers’ CPNI. Under Federal Law, you have the right to, and we have the duty to protect the confidentiality of your telecommunications service information. This information includes the type, technical arrangement, quantity, destination, and amount of use of telecommunications services and related billing for these services. United Communications will not sell, trade, or share your CPNI with anyone other than those who are in the United Communications family of companies unless required by law.
