Tracking Technologies; Third-Party Advertisements

Acknowledgement

To the extent that you provide or transmit any information, including, but not limited to, any Personal Information of yourself or any other individual (including without limitation name, email address and/or telephone number), to United or our third-party service or data providers, licensors, or distributors (“Representatives”) through our Site, you warrant that (a) you are providing or obtaining only your own information or the information of others which you are authorized to provide to third parties and/or obtain from third parties on their behalf; and (b) the use of such information by United and its Representatives will not infringe upon or misappropriate the intellectual property rights or otherwise violate the rights of any third parties.

How Long We Store Your Personal Information

We keep your Personal Information only for as long as we need to in order to fulfill the purpose for which we are using it. This period depends on what we are using your information for. If your Personal Information is no longer required for the purposes described above, we may retain data for backup and archiving purposes. If necessary or expedient, however, we may retain your Personal Information for our compliance with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations or for archiving purposes or in the public interest, scientific, or historical research purposes or statistical purposes.

Marketing Communications

By providing your phone number, you consent to receive promotional and marketing text messages (such as special offers, updates, and exclusive deals) from United at the number provided. Message and data rates may apply. Frequency of messages may vary. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message or contacting us directly. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your Personal Information.

If you have supplied your email address, you agree that we may further send you emails to provide you with requested information, to solicit your feedback, or to keep you up to date about United and our services. If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify, to respond to your request, or to help us support other users.

You may choose not to receive marketing communication emails from us. Please note that even if you choose not to receive marketing communications from us, you may still receive communications regarding your account and any other service-related issues and updates.

Customer Propriety Network Information (CPNI)

United will use CPNI in the manner set forth separately below.

Accessing your Personal Information – If you or an authorized user on your behalf contacts us by phone, you will be asked your name and Personal Identification Number (PIN) (if PIN protected, otherwise you will be asked for other information to verify your identity). In the business office, a photo id will validate a person’s identity when requesting account information.

Customer Propriety Network Information (CPNI) – CPNI is defined by federal statute to mean: (1) information that relates to the quantity, technical configuration, type, destination, location, and amount of use of a telecommunications service subscribed to by any customer of a telecommunications carrier, and that is made available to the carrier by the customer solely by virtue of the carrier customer relationship; and (2) information contained in the bills pertaining to telephone exchange service or telephone toll service received by a customer of a carrier. Use of CPNI is mandated by federal law and United is required to comply.

United may use CPNI without your consent in a manner consistent with applicable law to: (1) initiate, render, bill, and collect for our service; (2) market services among the categories of service to which you already subscribe; (3) provide inside wiring services; (4) provide maintenance, help desk, and technical support services; (5) protect our rights and enforce our Acceptable Use Policy and General Terms and Conditions; and (6) provide inbound marketing and customer services during customer calls.

Further, after providing you with the required notice and opportunity to “opt-out”, we may use your CPNI, in a manner consistent with applicable law.

United takes reasonable precautions to safeguard and protect against risks of loss and unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification and disclosure of Personal Information.

How We Safeguard Your Information

The security of your data is important to us. We take reasonable measures to protect the security and integrity of your Personal Information, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. As a result, we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of any information you disclose or transmit to us or that are otherwise provided to us, and we cannot be responsible for the theft, destruction, or inadvertent disclosure of information. Transfer of Data; Special Notice to Non-U.S. Users

Policy on Children’s Information

Our Site is not created for anyone under the age of 18 (“Children” or “Child”). By using our Site, you represent that you are at least 18 years old. If you do not meet this age requirement, then you must not access or use our Site or other services.

We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from anyone under the age of 18, and we do not target our Site to Children. The fact that we offer such links should not be construed in any way as an endorsement, authorization, or sponsorship of that Linked Website or its content, products, or services.

You acknowledge and agree that United has no responsibility for the accuracy or reliability of information provided by or through Linked Websites. United does not author, edit, or have any responsibility to monitor these Linked Websites. You should refer to the separate terms of use, privacy policies, and other rules posted on a Linked Website before you use them. You acknowledge that we shall not be responsible or liable for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by, or in connection with, your reliance on any information, any good, any service, or any other material provided through a Linked Website.
