MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (Mar. 19, 2024) — United Communications and Middle Tennessee Electric today celebrated the grand opening of its new Rutherford Operations Center at 1010 Haley Road in Murfreesboro with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce.

The new operations center will be home to 60 local employees when fully staffed, and many more field employees dedicated to serving Murfreesboro and Rutherford County.

“United’s investment in Murfreesboro is one of our most ambitious projects yet, and we’ve already hit the ground running,” said United Communications President and CEO William Bradford. “The Rutherford Operations Center solidifies our position as the only local internet provider in Rutherford County by establishing a base of operations for our personnel and equipment in the center of this great community.”

“We are enthusiastic about United’s plans and investments for the City of Murfreesboro,” said Chris Jones, CEO of MTE, “and we’re excited to have them set up shop in Murfreesboro and close by MTE’s headquarters.”
