United Communications Acquires Fiber Assets of Crystal Clear Technologies to Serve Communities in Williamson and Rutherford Counties.

Franklin, Tenn. – April 22, 2021United Communications, a subsidiary of Middle Tennessee Electric and a leading provider of high-speed internet services in Middle Tennessee, is acquiring the fiber network assets of Crystal Clear Technologies. The sale will be effective May 1, 2021 and include the neighborhoods of Tollgate Village, Bridgemore and Canterbury in Williamson County and South Haven and The Preserve in Rutherford County.

 

These neighborhoods comprise over 1,800 homes and 200 apartments and expand United’s internet coverage with Middle Tennessee Electric’s membership base. With one of the industry’s highest customer satisfaction experiences and reliable, high-speed internet, these customers gain an internet service provider that offers additional features and benefits.

 

As Crystal Clear Technologies searched for an internet service provider that would deliver consistency of service, high-speed connectivity and customer care, they focused on United. “We wanted to transition our valued customers to a local company with next generation in-home Wi-Fi technology,” said Jamie Spurlock, President of Crystal Clear Technologies. “United is the perfect fit, a company started and headquartered right here in Middle Tennessee, and a team that effectively delivers the best technology and experience in the business.”
